Woodland Blossom Inspired Dried Flower Wedding

A seriously cool wedding- the crystal embellished bridal gown, the red lipstick and nails, the dried flower bouquets and the groom wearing a yellow polo neck- we are in love with how this whole wedding came together!

Dulcie came to us to inquire about a woodland inspired bouquet for herself and her bridesmaids. We made her gorgeous dried flower bouquets using a selection of dried flowers and grasses in navy, dusty warm pinks, palm leaves in their natural state and touches of teal pampas. A stunning colour combination that really popped in all her photos of the big day.

Why did you choose dried flowers for your wedding?

I chose dried flowers over real as aside from the fact that they look really cool, I always feel a bit sad seeing fresh flowers picked to only die shortly afterwards. I really feel dried flowers for me were a more sustainable option especially as we were getting married in December in the UK so flowers would need to be imported or specially grown. Winter also makes fresh flowers super expensive so it seemed a no brainer to go for dried!

Can you describe the look you went for?

We went for a winter wedding with a sort of Bridgerton meets The Hobbit in the 70's twist. I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for when I typed 'dried flowers wedding' into google and I'm so glad I came across Horseshoe Flowers and asked if possible to do a wedding package. Luckily there were loads of great examples on your Web page so I could just choose the look I liked, it was all very easy and hassle free!

What impact did your Horseshoe flowers have?

Everyone loves the flowers, I gifted the bridesmaids their bouquets and they have them arranged in their homes. The flowers we used for table decorations are now arranged around my house and I have gifted some to family so that they can keep a souvenir of the day

Where is your bouquet now?

Currently in a zebra head vase in my kitchen

What advice would you give to brides thinking about a dried flower look?

Do it, it's cheaper and less stressful. They can arrive days in advance so you can cross it off your list of things you need to sort on your wedding day :)
