I know trends come and go, and you should always pick a style or theme that relates and resonates with you as a couple, but it’s definitely always good to keep aware of what is happening right now and going forwards.
The top wedding floral trends for 2025 are set to be a mix of bold and creative concepts, sustainability, and wow factor with couples really looking to take their wedding to the next level.
Here are the key wedding flower trends we have seen seeing:
1. Sustainability in Floristry
Eco-conscious couples are prioritising sustainable floral options, biodegradable materials, and foam-free arrangements. So we obviously hope that this isn’t purely a trend and it is actual a new way of thinking, forever!
But this theme really rings true with us, as we love that our dried flowers are more sustainable that buying fresh flowers that will die within days. Our flowers will last you for years (or longer if cared for correctly), meaning you can feel better about your carbon footprint (as well as re-live your wedding over and over when you look at your flowers!).
2. Bold and Vibrant Colours
We are seeing more and more bright and bold colour requests so this is a trend which we certainly see continuing. Couples are definitely becoming more and more adventurous and wanting to opt for really striking colour combinations such as clashing orange and pink, red and pink and multicolours. We are excited that this trend is also progressing into colour blocking and use of unexpected colours such as pops of mustard or neons.
3. Hanging Floral Installations
This is trend we can definitely get behind! We love that couples are being more and more creative with their venue decorations and asking us to come up with ideas to dress their special ceremony areas. We are loving flower hanging clouds, arches, decorative plinths and more for this trend. But our couples know that you can never go far enough, so we are pushing this trend more and more with integral disco balls, bows and multiple cloud arrangements, so this will be a major trend. These dramatic pieces really elevate any venue.
4. Wildflower Aesthetics
For couples seeking a more relaxed vibe, wildflower arrangements are super on-trend. This look includes daisies, statice, lavender and other wild looking natural dried flowers that are styled in an organic, natural way perfect for bohemian or rustic weddings. The idea here is to have flowers that look naturally foraged and romantically arranged.
5. Floral Mix with Non-Floral Elements
Adding non-traditional elements like feathers, fruits, and even vegetables to arrangements allows couples to personalize their floral designs and add unique textures. This can be a really good way to add further interest to your wedding tables- imagine some of your arrangements are edible, the is a super innovative way of adding colour and texture to your overall look.
6. Mixing dried and preserved flowers
This is music to our ears! Overall in floristry there is a move towards mixing dried flowers with fresh flowers- our take on this is to use a mix of preserved flowers that really emulate the look of fresh flowers, mixed with dried flowers. This way, you can keep your whole bouquet!
7. Smaller bouquets elopement style
We are feeling strongly that bouquet sizes are going to get smaller with a focus on big blousy florals in a more compact look. So the overall appearance is still a visually optimal look with lots of flowers but they are arranged in a more compact, rounded look. Perfect for elopements!
