When I decided to leave the fashion world and move back to the UK from New York, I wanted to offer something exciting and different to UK brides. I’d personally got tired of beautiful bunches of flowers just withering and dying at home. They made me feel bad about myself!
I wanted to offer an alternative that allowed the joy to stay with couples and their loved ones for a lot longer, leaving them with a good feeling about their carbon footprint.
So I took a leap of faith, left my career as a fashion designer for global brands like Banana Republic and Armani Exchange, and retrained at the New York Flower School. I wanted a new direction: a trade that allowed me to remain creative and to continue to work with colour and proportion.
Since my floral training back in 2019 I’ve developed my own style. My designs favour relaxed proportions with a strong emphasis on colour combinations (even a neutral palette is a combination of stunning shades) and a playful style. What is different about Horseshoe Flowers?
We are a fully bespoke floral design experience. Rather than being an off-the-shelf product, our bouquets and other premium floral products are carefully considered and designed with each couple in mind.
Our ethos is to provide a complete floral experience for couples. We work with you to custom design based on your wedding style and colour palette. During the process you’ll receive mood boards and updates on how your design is evolving. Everything is designed and made by hand in our Derbyshire Dales studio.

how it all works
Let’s chat
We start with a phone call to discuss your ideas and run through the basics. We’ll have a chat about where you are at with your planning and a little about your venue and your wedding party, so we can get an understanding of your special day.
We create your floral design proposal
We prepare a bespoke floral proposal for you, encompassing your ideas, our creative vision, colour palette and reference inspiration images along with the all important numbers and pricing.
You book us in
We ask for a £100 deposit in order for you to secure your date with us. After that we will source any flowers and foliage we need before getting creative and starting work on your beautiful wedding bouquet. A couple of months before your wedding we send you photos of your bouquet, you are then able to feed into the design process and make any changes you would like to see.
You receive your flowers
We can either ship your flowers to you, or arrange for pick up or drop off from our studio in Wirksworth, Derbyshire or the surrounding area. You receive your flowers well in advance of your wedding day, taking a whole load of stress out of the equation.
Finally, it’s your special day and then get to keep your flowers!
let’s talk prices
As a general guide, our couples tend to budget between £1000-£1500 for their wedding flowers and that would include a stunning bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, buttonholes and some table or aisle arrangements, with some couples spending up to and in excess of £3000 on an all out deluxe floral experience.
If you have a smaller budget and are just looking for a few beautifully curated items, we can certainly work within most budgets.
